NEAG Plastic Pointmaking News

Our next area group meeting will be a mini workshop with the topic being Easitrac points.

Some time ago a number of group members said they would be interested in making points, some prefer to call them turnouts, and the purpose of this meeting which will be held on Saturday 7th May 2011, will be to help those interested to produce their first plastic point. There is quite a bit of time between now and the meeting date which will give me sufficient time to let people have a list of the suggested tools and the various parts that can be purchased from the 2mm Scale Association shop.

Obviously if we start at 2pm as normal and conclude somewhere around 5.30pm there will not be sufficient time for us to go away with a completed item but if some of the work has been done prior to the meeting then the likelihood we will be almost there by the end of the day is going to be greater. Add to this the fact that expected numbers will be roughly half those that attended the first workshops in Farnham and London and I think we have a fair chance that the task in hand may somewhere close to completion.

If we don't try then we'll never know.

There will be another reminder here prior to the event and a round up after the day. All those who expressed an interest recently and those who let me know before Christmas can expect to receive the 'shopping list' soon.
