Making an Exhibition of Ourselves

The 2mm Roadshow visits many exhibitions across the UK under the able control of our Publicity Officer (and NEAG member), Edward Sissling.
This weekend the stand was present at the Festival of British Railway Modelling, now back at Doncaster racecourse/exhibition centre after several years at the Great Yorkshire Showground near Harrogate. The new exhibition centre was very impressive - the room where our stand was located was particularly well lit and very spacious - and the catering was excellent (particularly the pie and mash!).

Observed during a rare quiet moment (just before closing time on Saturday afternoon) are Laurie Adams and Steve Cooper, half of Saturday's team (the other half were off making last-minute purchases!). Sales of promotional kits and booklets were healthy, and several new members were recruited. I believe that a small amount of modelling was carried out in between chatting to visitors. Overall, it was a very enjoyable day!
